A typical Venice Garden: Hotel Flora's

In the Venice Sestiere di San Marco, about seven minutes from Piazza San Marco, 3-star hotel Flora hosts a typical Venetian Garden as there are many tucked away behind the walls of the centro storico.
This one is special though because it is a green oasis conveying the impression of hanging gardens.
Here you can see the typical elements that make for an informal Venetian Garden: a stone fountain (pozzo)...
...that in ancient time was tapped for irrigation and water supplies.
A terraced coutryard and pathway surrounded by vines and climbing ivory, stone pots with various flowering and evergreen plants, and creepers (vines!) adorning the walls up to the roofs.
