A first glimpse of the Gardens in the Lagoon

Welcome, ...
Now let me start this site with an online Webcam Link to the Comune di Venezia's Website, giving you a first glimpse, day and night, of Piazza San Marco, the first leg of your first trip to Venice ...
Using this link, you can enjoy the view of the Piazza from different lookout points, not only from the Campanile on St Mark's Square, or even from San Giorgio Maggiore's belltower, but from the Clocktower (Torre dell'Orologio).
By the way, the cameras were installed not for our visitors but to keep track in case there is acqua alta (high water). Just go to: http://www.comune.venezia.it/flex/cm/pages/ServeBLOB.php/L/IT/IDPagina/893

I highly recommend that at the start of your visit to Venice you head up (by elevator) to these viewtops, the Campanile di San Marco and the Campanile di San Giorgio Maggiore, as they give you a perfect glance of the Venice Lagoon, its size and where the Gardens are located (all over the lagoon, secret and not so secret places). And it is the gardens, their history and all that came from it that will be at the focus of this Site.
